Taskbar

I had a problem where the active programs were not visible in the taskbar, I
could Alt + Tab to cycle through the open programs but if I minimised an
application it disappeared. I was able to fix this problem using system
restore, but seemed to have to go back well before the problem started
happening!
Has anyone else seen this problem? And is there a better solution?

Hi There,

I had the same problem & has been happening since a long time.
I used to solve it using a restore point or an image for the whole disk.
However, a safer & easy way, is just to keep copy of your ntuser.dat found in
your profile subdirectory. To do that, you need to be using another admin
account. The cause of the registry fault happens when windows try to
hibernate (not always though). My question, anyone knows what is inside the
code at Kelly's? Any explanation or can we have something from MS to know
the steps manual?
