Since only recently, my task manager(the ctrl+alt+del window) has stopped
working normally in the following way: It only displays the tab with the
programs running, but above, where normally the other tabs and the title bar
should be, there is nothing - the window ends there, and it thus won't let me
switch to running processes, cpu usage windows and so on, and if it weren't
for right-clicking on the minimized icon on the right-hand corner, I wouldn't
be able to close it, as well. It's extremely frustrating, and various things
I've tried with commercial software won't locate the problem. The problem
made its debut at about the same time as another that won't let me open the
mouse menu in the control panel, allegedly because "an exception occured
while trying to run 'shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL
"C:\WINDOWS\System32\main.cpl",Mouse' ". I suspect the two are connected, but
am not sure(nor will I ever be).
Thanks.
