Task Bar too high

As an experiment I dragged the taskbar so it's two lines in height. Now I
can't drag it back to the normal one line height.
I can get it minimized, to 1/16 inch, I can get it any height I want,
two lines high or 10 lines high, but I can't get it back to the normal one
line high. I can dock it on the right edge, left edge, or top of the
screen.
I've re-set the PC.
In taskbar properties I've un-checked "lock the taskbar" and "autohide the
taskbar"
I'm running WinXP pro. I've current antivirus definitions, although it
does seem like the task bar has been suddenly possessed by idiots.
Any help from anyone?

Have you tried System Restore ?

Thanks, that fixed it. It seems kind of drastic. I was pleased to be able
to go back just one day.
Maybe the bug in XP will get fixed in some update or another.
