Tasklbar folly

Hello,
I doubled the height of my taskbar at the bottom of my desktop. I can't
get it back to one level. I have done the same thing before and recovered
but am unable to do it again. 'Lock the taskbar' and / or 'Quick Launch'
don't seem to have anything to do with it. Please help.

Unlock the taskbar. Drag all toolbars to the bottom row in whatever
order you want them. Resize the taskbar. Lock it.
