Help with Taskbar

Hello all. Something strange just happened to my taskbar. Usually, my
taskbar is a single width at the bottom of my screen. I was doing something,
so left my system alone for an hour. When I came back, my taskbar was now
two lines high, and whenever I open a task it's name now appears in the
lower portion of the taskbar. This never happened before.
Anyone know what happened, why, and how to undo it> I cannot get rid of the
lower portion of the taskbar without hiding the taskbar completely.
Thanks!

Right click the taskbar and choose Unlock Taskbar. Then try to resize it.

If you have a toolbar displayed on the taskbar, it may have been made large
enough that it is occupying one entire row. You can remove the toolbar or
resize it to regain a one line taskbar.

To remove the toolbar: Right click the taskbar and select Toolbar. Uncheck
selected toolbars to remove them.
To resize the toolbar: Unlock the taskbar to see the boundary lines of the
toolbar. The starting boundary line will be on the first row by the start
button. Then ending boundary line will be at the start of the second row.
Grab this ending boundary with the mouse and move it up to the first line.

I found this when looking for an answer to the exact same problem. Is there
an answer?
