"ControlTip" Text is hidden behind Taskbar

When I hover over an item (like the volume control) in my Windows
System Tray or Taskbar, the
"ControlTip Text" is partially hidden behind the Taskbar.

Why does this happen, and how do I get the "ControlTip Text" to appear
in front of the Taskbar as it should?

Thanks for your help...

* Click the Start button, then All Programs.

* Hover the pointer over any program listed in the All Programs menu, then
right-click and select "Sort by Name" on the menu that appears.

* Repeat a second time, clicking "Sort by Name" once more.

That should at least temporarily fix it.

If you want to try a permanent fix, you could download and run this freeware
utility:
ToolTipFixer http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=10

There are also some other alternatives mentioned in the "Comments" section on the

Thanks so much, Glen.

Sorting the Programs didn't work, so I downloaded the
TootTipFixer...quick, easy, and it worked.
