Target designer - Explorer does not show usb devices plugged/unplu

M

Mr Garbage

I am using Target Designer to build my own XP. This system boots to a dos
shell from which I can then run explorer and do what I need to do. If I have
explorer running and plug in a USB flash stick, Explorer does not see the new
drive. Only if I start a new instance of Explorer does it appear. If I run
Device Manager however it does show devices as they are plugged in and
removed.

Am I missing some component(s) in my build? I have all the PNP and Plug and
Play Monitor and Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator as part of my build.

Thank you

I had a similar problem
try starting explorer a little after you connect the usb device.

Same issue but for me was not a problem to start explorer once I have
inserted the usb key.
