tab button stopped indenting!

Recently I was unnerved to discover that while using a
bulleted or numbered list, I could no longer use the tab
button to indent an entire line (ie go from one level to a
sub level of a topic). Only the indent buttons seem to
work, or the right click and then indent
left/right....Does anyone know how I might have switched
this and how I can turn it back on???? Thanks a million!

I found the solution thanks to a user in Formatting...just
in case anyone else reads this later on with same
issue...go to tools, autoformat, autoformat as you type,
near bottom the "tabs and backspace are left indent etc"
must be checked!
