Reconfiguring or repairing your assigned sounds in
Windows is pretty straightforward. Try going to Start,
Control Panel, Sounds & Audio Devices, and click on the
sounds tab. The best way to get all sounds back to normal
is to open the sound scheme pull-down and select windows
default. To change these default sounds simply go down to
program events and highlight the event you want to
resound. Then browse for the sound file you want to
replace the original with. Play around with it for a bit
and you'll have your laptop saying some pretty creative
things!

Best of luck. Write if you get stuck.

Control Pannel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds. Make sure there are
sounds selected that you want to hear.
