System says it cannot find my pst backup

Using outllok 2007

I backuped a copy of .pst to a dvd drive. Now eveytime I start outlook I
get an error message saying that outlook cannot fine e:/outlook backup.pst.
It then opens a browse window to which I cancel and close. Then the systems
seems to be fine.

Add this to the ongong "a data file was not closed properly" that happens
nearly everytime I start outlook 2007 it seems that opening this program is
taking longer and longer

Hello Rick,

Seems to me that the location of the pst file has been changed and the
outlook is accessing the back file.

Create a new pst file ( outlook>FILE>new>outlook data file).
you will find the new pst on the left part of the screen.
Set the new pst file as default ( tools>account settings>data file).

close and reopen outlook.

once the outlook works without any error messages, drag and drop all the
folders to the new pst file and remove the old pst file by right click .
