When ever I click system restore on my XP MSE I get an error telling me
to reboot. It does nothing.

I have checked to see if restore is on and it is on as far as the check
box is blank.

I have tried to start the service and I get ERROR 126 the Specified
Module could not be found.

I have tried to go to Windows/INF and right click SR.inf and install
not good either

I have tried this also: rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf I am not sure if the command line is correct.

Hi Joe,
Please you should follow your post on the other thread as respect for the
other * Joe * and the NG instead of starting new Thread!.
While I'm at it try this and see if it will help;
Open Run Command and type; cmd /k net start press OK
Turn the system restore OFF then ON.

If no joy Joe try this:
Start your computer in * Safe Mode * then opn the command prompt and type
the following and Press Ok and follow the instructions on the screen to
restore your computer.

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

That didn't help either.

Hi,

Click Start, Run and type:

cmd /k sc qc sr

Copy the output to Notepad. Then run the following command:

sc qc srservice

Copy the output again, and post both the information in your reply.
