System restart in Safe Mode

Have just upgraded the motherboard and CPU on my other computer. Now, when
booting, windows tries to start in safe mode. Irrespective of the mode
selected, it will restart and never complete the boot. Have tried
inserting the XP Pro disk after selecting the CD as the primary boot disk all
to no avail.

Help!

Replacing the motherboard and CPU almost always requires that
you perform a repair installation of XP.

Here are some articles you might want to review:

Read this one first:

What exactly do you mean by "Have tried inserting the XP Pro
disk after selecting the CD as the primary boot disk all to no
avail." Are you prompted to "Hit any key to boot from the CD"?
Have you consulted the documentation for you motherboard to
make sure your configuring the BIOS correctly. Also,If you're
having problems booting from the CD there may be a problem with
your installation CD or your CD drive.
