System Recovery

I can no longer right-click the tab for System Recovery, or run
rstrui.exe without getting an immediate error message.:

Faulting application rstrui.exe, version 5.1.2600.1106, faulting module
srrstr.dll, version 5.1.2600.1142, fault address 0x000095fa.

I am running XP Pro with SP1a.

This process will clear out all current restore points, so if there are any
critical restore points they need to be backed
up before running this process.
************************

Try to reinstall system restore by locating sr.inf in the %systemroot%\inf
folder, then
right click on it and choose install.

This process will also require the XP CD and if
applicable the service pack 1 i386 directory (usually
%\systemroot%\servicepackfiles\i386). After the install has completed allow
the
system to reboot.
