System Restore aborts with EVENT 1000 rstrui.exe

Encountered the above problem, re-instralled from
scratch, testes system restore okay, installed all my
applications, and again, system restore fails with same
error. Why?

Faulting application rstrui.exe, version 5.1.2600.1106,
faulting modules srrstr.dll, version 5.1.2600.1142, fault
address 0x000095fa.

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf


You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then
Install)
