system recovery dvd

I got it with the computer but it isn't opening right. it shows me the files
instead of playing. can anyone tell me what to do?

Hi mj--

Do you have Vista on your pc and perhaps cannot boot to Vista? Can you give
us more detailed info? Do you have a Vista DVD or just a recovery DVD from
the OEM PC maker? If you can give us some info, we can help you with the
best options.
