System has recovered from a serious error

That is the error message (not verbatim perhaps but close) I've gotten twice
in the past week when I've turned on the computer. I click OK and all seems
fine after that but I'd like to know how serious the error is and if I can
do something about it.


Following is some additional information.


1. Information copied from the error message:

3. There's also a 200+ kb file called sysdata.xml which I won't quote here,
as it's big.

4. A few days prior to this difficulty I got another error message either
on starting up or shutting down about a driver having prevented the system
from starting up/shutting down. Clicked OK on that one and system went on
to open/shut without further problem.

5. The only software I installed a week or so prior to any of this
difficulty was Apples' iTunes.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I hope the above helps you all out as it appears to be a HUGE HUGE problem
for XP users
