System Explorers are not visible

Advanced Tools Section:

System Explorers are not visible under System Tools
after installation. I've un-installed and re-installed,
but this doesn't work.

The Browser Hijack shows up as well as the tracks
eraser, but the System Explorers doesn't show at all.

At the time I installed Microsoft Anti-Spyware I had AVG
Anti-Virus running but no Firewall. I was disconnected
from the Internet on purpose so I could clean up the
computer of spyware and viruses. I had really big problem
of getting rid of "hotoffers.com" hijacking my Internet
Explorer in my system. Somehow I think this is root of
the problem. I also had the system restore turned off so
Windows wouldn't get fooled into putting the spyware back
in thinking they were important system files.

Hope this helps.

What version of AVG?

6? or 7?

I've got machines with 7 running with no issues with Microsoft Antispyware,
but I don't have any with 6 to test.

If you are willing to be a guinea pig--I wonder if you are able to try
something to see if it has an affect on your problem:

The following URL leads to a 1040KB download.

Once downloaded, you run it, specify an arbitrary directory which is used
temporarily during installation, and restart your machine. I'm not certain
that the instructions with the download matched my experience with the
install.

This is a service pack for the Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files which are
needed for Microsoft Antispyware in the current builds.

After the reboot, please retest your issue and let us know if it has
changed?
