"sysprep -mini" restart, SID

The default behavior of sysprep is to clear the SID and force a new one
to be genrerated, so it should be as easy as falling off a log for me
to keep unique SIDs on all of my clients. However, I'm playing around
with the shutdown mode. I usually use "shutdown". After shutdown I
make an image. What happens when I force a restart, what is happening
to the SID? Do I loose my opportunity to make my binary image with no
SID?

If restart boots the reference computer then a new SID is generated.
That computer will NOT be useful for making unique images until it is
sealed again.

However, if restart finds imaging media, (like a ghost boot disk, or
LAN boot) then the reference computer still has a clean SID.

Restart was probably designed for environments where the alternative
boot media is immediately present.
