Sychronizing different versions of Outlook

How do I synchronize different versions of Outlook. I
have version 2000, 2002 and 2003 of different computers
at home and at work. I am running Windows XP Pro on each
PC. When I make backups of my data on Outlook 2003 (by
export the personal files) and try to import it into
Outlook 2000 or 2002, I receive an error message saying
the version are incompatible.

How can I sychronize the data (calendar and contacts)???
Is there a software program that can do this? Outlook
help does not seem to help. Thanks.

Outlook if it runs on Outlook 2003 machine.
