outlook 2003 not synchronizing

Just upgraded to office 2003, and outlook 2003, and am
having problems sychronizing to my laptop ost file so
that I can work off line. It appears to sychronize
everytime I run scanost.exe only and only at that time. I
have Server Windows 2000 and exchange 2000.

What is the error message? Is Sync. failing on the Inbox? If yes, then you have a damaged OST file

Create a new profile and new OST file.
