switching users

I have 4 user accounts and the switching user button is shut off and i can't
figure out how to turn it on...i only have the option to log off and then the
computer shuts down

Check the settings:

1. Click Start - Control Panel
2. Open User Accounts
3. Click Change the way users log on or off
4. Make sure there is a tick mark on "Use Fast User Switching".

When you make a check mark and Windows told you that it can not turn on the
service because Offline files feature is on and open a dialog box for Offline
files then turn off the offline files feature and repeat the above process.
