There are no computer drives that can read the High Resolution Audio of an SACD.
The standard audio layer of a hybrid disc can be read in CD-ROM, CD-RW drives,
as well as some CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives. Single-layer SACDs cannot be recognized
by Windows at all. You can rip the audio from a hybrid disc, just like you can
from a regular CD.
Personally, I'd rather have an SACD player for my car. I've had a home player
for months, but just got a proper home theater last week. You can view my
massive 20 disc collection here: http://www.guzzlefish.com/collection.php?username=galley&mediatype=C
SACD player for your car? Are there any car stereos that can output in 5.1?
Also, how do you like the Norah Jones SACD, compared to the regular CD?
Worth getting?
