Suddenly Unable to Retreive My E-Mail

This morning and afternoon I was able to download my e-mail. Now, this evening
I cannot retrieve my mail.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Verizon DSL', Server:
'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Does the above error massage indicate an error on the server, or might I have to
change my settings?

Ah-ha,

I am able, however, log on to web mail.

I am having the same problem in Western MD. Looks like Microsoft has to do a
fix?
This is my error message:
Account: 'dsl.verizon.net', Server: 'incoming.verizon.net', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19
Looks familiar, huh?

It looks like Verizon might be having problems, you're not alone. It
could be sheer volume of traffic. Can you just wait and see?
