I am using Netgear wireless router with Prolink 9000p adsl modem. After
adding Netgear, my ICQ connection always get disconnected intermitently.
Pinging google.com is fine without any packet lost, just ICQ connection will
be lost. To get ICQ back online I just have to turn the yellow icon to green
(online/connect). Sometimes it happens so frequent and it's so irritating.
Two other friends of mine using Prolink WiFi-G router with Aztech adsl modem
is also having the same problem. Whenever my ICQ got disconnected, their ICQ
connection will be lost as well. Other friends with no wireless router don't
have problem with their ICQ at all. Before I add Netgear wireless router in,
no problem as well.
Even my FTP connection (both tmnet ftp and my hosting ftp), once connected
it will start uploading at 5kB/s +- then gradually drop to 0kB/s and it
stays there for a while. Later after 30 seconds or so the connection is back
to 5-6kB/s and then few seconds later drop back to 0KB/s.
So I think it might be the wireless router or settings problem. Hope someone
can shed some light on this issue. Searching in google found several others
with same issue, but no solution.
Thanks.
