strange view problem in Outlook 2003

Hi,

When one of my users selects the "view" menu, "arrange by" and then "email
account", there are 2 entries for "Microsoft Exchange Server" with emails
being held under both. There is also an entry for a pop3 account he uses.

He's looking to merge the 2 "exchange server groups" into 1. I don't
understand why there are 2 instances of "microsoft exchange server" and what
if anything I can do to merge them together.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

H

Thanks for getting back.

He has several SMTP addresses in his AD account, some .com some .co.uk

There are messages from internal staff in both groups - I can't see any
pattern at all!

he has multiple SMTP addresses

Having looked into this a bit more is the email account name "microsoft
exchange" meant to correspond with the name in the outlook profile?

Therefore if people were to access their email on different computers the
messages would be filed under the different profile names?

Sound like a reasonable theory????
