Hi I use excel 2000 for my paperwork and I fine that every few month
that my results on my paperwork go really extreme highs and lows o
overs and shortages and yet we have been doing the paperwork the sam
way all along. After looking the paperwork over and rechecking our wor
, I cant see any reason. Then after a couple of weeks the paperwork wil
go back to more normal and more reasonable results. Any ideas woul
help. Strange I know but Im hoping someone else has had the sam
problem and might be able to help me Thank You tris

Think we'd need some specifics at the worksheet level (describe your data
set-up, sample formulas in cells, expected results in formula cells etc) to
be able to figure out what's happening over there <g>

In the interim, here's just a wild guess inferring from your lines:
... Then after a couple of weeks the paperwork will
go back to more normal and more reasonable results ..

Perhaps the calc mode was inadvertently set to Manual
during those times when the results didn't look right ?

To quickly check calc mode:
Click Tools > Options > Calculation tab
Check "Automatic" > OK

To echo Max, we really do need more information. Are you saying that
the figures are wrong for a spell and then go back to normal?

Perhaps one or more formulae are written in such a way that they will
produce incorrect results given certain inputs. Especially look for
anything involving dates.

Other than that, I'd just be guessing from further out on my limb. :-)
