Stolen Server - I need the TS CALs back

I took over an account from another vendor. The client has a Windows 2000
server that replaced an older one. The older server also ran Win2K and had 5
TS CALs on it.

I don't know how the software was licensed, and the company doesn't know
either. I'm guessing it was open license, as this is how they have made all
purchases from me. Does anybody know how to go about recovering this
information from Microsoft?

Thanks a lot.

Microsoft should be able to tell you the type of license (but not the
number purchased) from the Product Key.
