The best way is to check the application's options to see if it has an
option to turn off beginning with startup. If you are unable to find such
an option within the application, check to see if it has a shortcut in the
startup folder on the start menu. If yes, delete the shortcut. If there's
no shortcut or this does not give you the desired results, go to start, type
msconfig, press enter and go to the startup tab, you can usually prevent
most applications from starting at bootup from there.
