Remove StartUp program

Is there any others ways of removing unwanted program from the start up to prevent them from running when the system is bootup. I tried MSCONFIG and unchecked the unwanted program thru normal window and safe mode but they still re-enable when the system boot up. Also i used the directory,C://Documents and Setting /Allusers/programs/Startup and move the file but not all the unwanted programs available at this directory. They slow my system during startup. if you have any idea how to remove them or any program that can disable them.

Install a free programme from Mike Lin. It's call Startup and resides in the
control Panel. It works like a dream and can be downloaded fron various
freeware/shareware sites

You could try to use Hijack this (search for it on the internet)
It's a small script based program that lists everything to do with windows'
start up or even persistent procedures, from Autoexec.bat through to the
Registry's BHO entries.
It even allows you to delete entries right there and then.

-Note that you have to be a semi computer literate person to use this.
Other wise you were on the right track with Msconfig - but have you also
tried the Adminsitrative Utilities.-maybe you want to get rid of a service.

PS- You should post what it is you don't want to start at startup.
