Removing entries from MSCONFIG Startup tab

How do I delete entries from the MSCONFIG Startup tab?
Unwanted programs end up in the startup, and I realize I
can "uncheck" them, but I want to delete the programs off
my computer, or at least remove them from the Start tab.

Go to the program that is in your system tray/notification area and you may
find the settings to remove them from the auto start, most programs have
this listed in the properties section.
