In previous versions of Windows I was able to create an emergency start-up
disk to use if the system would not boot normally. I am unable to find this
in XP. Is it still there?
My problem is that Windows will no longer boot from the hard drive and
cannot boot in safe mode. I need to reformat the hard rive and reinstall
Windows using the HP Repair disks. When I try to run from the repair disk
I get numerous messages that certain files not were not found.
I want to do a complete clean install but the hard drive needs to be
formatted first.
