when i switch on my computer the moniter switches on and
then goes off. it kicks into off mode . how do i get the
off mode back to normal.
 
You will want to try your monitor on another system in order to find out
whether your problem is due to XP or the monitor. Or, borrow a monitor and
try it on your system.
