Its a utility installed by some ISP setup cd's to 'repair' / diagnose a
connection problem.
Its not part of win.

This can happen if you've recently installed Internet Explorer
7. To fix the problem, do the following;

Search you computer for files named PSAPI.DLL. With the
exception of the one found
in the C:\Windows\System32 folder, rename the files
PSAPIOLD.DLL. Do not rename the PSAPI.DLL file in your
C:\Windows\System32 directory. Restart your computer and the
problem should be fixed.

For more info, take a look at some of the threads listed here.

Good luck

Hi, Thank you but I renamed the one file that came up exactly as you
suggested, but no change. The only thing is there was only one file that that
came up exactly as you wrote for example capitals, the others were in lower
case so I did not like to alter them, what do you think,
regards Pat

Rename the files with names in lower case as well. PSAPI.DLL
and psapi.dll are treated the same by Windows. Both should be
renamed.

Keep in mind that you shouldn't rename the psapi.dll file
located in C:\WINDOWS\system32.
