Start menu related issues

After upgrading my explorer to IE 7, immediately my computer started working
slow and while exploring any folder or start menu it will hang up. I can
access the file through link. Also computer has started giving bip sound
continuously.Windows has stopped reading DVD drive.
Everytime I start my laptop this message appears :An exception occurred
while trying to run "" C:\WINDOWS\System 32\ wnjhdonpxxnpv.dll"DllStart".

I used microsoft onecare.live.com and all things cleared up atleast I do not
have exception error but all other problems.

As per guidance I used for auto run
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx. I found mall
files for Task Scheduler and some files for drivers/services are reported as
not found .There is no publishers reported for these files.

Still I have problems reported above. Please give your valuable suggestions
and thanks in advance.

Do a thorough check for malware, following all of the steps at one of these
Web pages.

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
