Pin to Start menu

I have Test1.exe in C:\MyProjects\ folder
I used "Pin to Start menu" feature in XP and put
that exe in to Start menu. When I run my exe through
the Start menu it gives some errors.

The reason is it sets the default path to "C:\Documents and
Settings\<user>\"
and my exe tries to find some configuration files in that path.
Is there any way to set the Start in path in that pinned item
on the start menu.

And pls tell me how does that "Pin to Start menu"
feature works in Windows XP.

The normal way to set that path is Right Click on the menu entry, then
Properties, then change the path.
