Standby

Bill

I have an icon on my desktop (off in a corner) to
shutdown Windows with a single click:

%windir%\System32\SHUTDOWN.exe -s -t 00

I'd like to have another to put my computer in
"Standby". I've searched for "STANDBY.exe"
but none was found.

Anyone know what the command sequence is to
put one's computer in standby?

Thanks,
Bill

Hi

The following free command line tools supports suspend (sleep)
as well as hibernate:

PsShutdown

Wizmo

Budja shutdown:

Torgeir,
I tried both Budja and Wizmo. I settled with Wizmo because it
does the standby much cleaner. I.e., no DOS screen in the
process.
Thanks,
Bill
