Standby and Power Settings

I have an eMachine that has been running Windows XP Home. I just
installed a second (SATA) disk and installed Windows XP Professional.
When I boot from the XP Pro disk, I have limited features in the Power
Optionss and I don't have the option to enter Standby or Hibernate at
shut down. When I boot in XP Home, everything is normal.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Just fixed the problem! I Googled the problem and found a lot of
confusion and nonsense but did find one reference to Video card
settings. I then looked at my video card and found that I did not
install the driver from the old XP Home disk for the specific video card
I have in my system. The default video driver ran the monitor OK but
did not allow power settings and standby/hibernate.

This solution might be of use to others with similar problems.
