spyware protection advertisement and windows installer

I can't get rid of some spyware virus advertisement on my startup toolbar.
Also, something has wiped out my windows installer. How do i get that back?

What startup toolbar are you talking about? Do you mean the taskbar at the
bottom of the desktop screen or in the notification area of the taskbar
(which is the area to the left of the clock)? What specifically displays?
You might have the smitfraud trojan or a variant of it. See this link for
