spybot

Is anyone else having problems with spybot? Mine started freezing up during
the clean phase lately.

Uninstall & reinstall , may be the way to go .

I thought of that too....it is the newest version I am having troubles with.
It started on my laptop after I did a complete re install of everything
(that laptop has always been a pain), when I re installed spybot it started
freezing up upon clean. This last week I did the same on my desktop, (after
2 years, it was just time) so I downloaded and re installed spybot and now I
have the same problem.

I check out the user forums but only a couple of us are having this problem
and so far no useful tech help.

Oh well....

Dont know if its related but i had problems with spybot and an AV (avast)
that i had running at the same time.The AV was set to scan all files and
caused freezing by scaning teh files spybot was also scanning.If you
already havent ..try disabling any other resident scanner that maybe
running in background.

Hello ,

Here , I have Avast 4.6 , Spybot_1_4_beta 2 , Panda and AVG 7 on my
desktop ( *on my laptop too* ) and all of them are resident ( and
sometimes *run* at the same time ) without any prob , with Windows XP SP2 .
