Windows XP spoolerlog

spoolerlog\spooler.xml has taken up 24.45GB space on my computer. I was trying to install a new DVD RW. I have taken off lots of programs, but only got 9.21GB of space back. I can't install or defrag now. The problem with DVD RW is no sound on DVD, but ok with audio. Can anyone advise please
