Spooler Subsystem App

I tried setting an HP laptop up to network with a desktop. Both run Windows
XP home. When I ran the setup wizard, I got this error Spooler Subsystem
Application Needs to Close. I got the same error when I ran the wizard on
the desktop. Any suggestions?
