Spooler Subsystem App Stopped working

I just purchased a new computer with Vista. I have yet to get my Dell A940
printer (which was on an XP machine) working. My first problem was the
printer stayed "Offline". This was apparently due to XP drivers being loaded.
After going through a procedure to remove the XP driver, I was able to show
the printer "Ready" but now I get an error "Spooler Subsystem App Stopped
working". I tried to stop and start the Spooler Service but that doesn't seem
to help. Can someone please help?

John,

The most common reason for the spooler to crash is when there are installed
drivers which aren't Vista compatible. There are other messages here
describing how to remove drivers when your spooler won't start. I'd suggest
you remove all of the printer drivers, then download all the Vista versions
of the drivers you need & install them.
