I have a message in my outbox that I can neither delete nor open. When I try to open it I get a message saying "Cannot open tis item MAPI Spooler has already begun transmitting". If I try and delete it , nothing at all happens.
Can somebody pls shed some light for me, should I try going to RUN to stop the spooler ???????

you need to take Outlook into offline mode - File, Offline. You may also
need to restart it.

Thanks so much for that unfortunatley I have already tried that and it doesnt work. I have seen that the idea seems to be to create a new profile and default too there whilst deleting the old one , sounds good - however do not know how to create a new profile. any ideas?

You don't need a new profile- if going offline doesn't help, add a new pst,
set it as default and restart outlook. Delete the file and repeat the steps
to undo the default settings.

The general instructions are add a new pst using File, new, outlook data
file. Tools, accounts (or Tools, services) to make it the default delivery
location and restart outlook. If you need more detailed instructions, we
need to know what version of Outlook you have.
