Mapi spooler Outlook 97

Hi

I have outlook 97. A message (with no attachemnt) has been caught in the
outbox. It will not send, and has jammed up the entire program for sending
and receiving e-mails. When I try to double click on the message an error
message pops up: "Can't open this item. The Mapi Spooler has already begun
transmitting this message." I cannot delete it either.

Does anyone have any solutions?

Re configure outlook with a new account in a different profile and open the
existing pst through the new profile, delete the selected message.
