how do I Delete message stuck in Outbox outlook 2002

How do I delete a large email with attachments in my Outlook 2002 outbox.
when I try to open or delete I get a message that says "Cant open this Item.
the MAPI spooler has already began transmitting this message"
 
try using Outlook in offline mode and see whether you can delete the file
