How do I remove a message stuck in my outbox?

I have a message that is sitting in my outbox because in error I attached
files that are too large to be transmitted. I do not want it to cause
problems for the recipient either so I need to delete or move it. If I try
either of these options I get the following message "Outlook has already
begun transmitting this message". It has been in my outbox for 24 hours now.
Any help would be appreciated!

<sigh> did you do any kind of search? This is asked and answered at LEAST
once a day if not more.

Click File and check Work Offline. Close and then restart Outlook. Delete
the message. Click File and uncheck Work Offline.
