I HAVE WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL VERSION 2002. I CAN TYPE A
LETTER IN WORD AND NOT ONLY DOES THE SPELL CHECK NOT WORK,
IT SAYS IT CHECKED AND FOUND NO ERRORS.

I TRIED TO RESET IT BUT IT DID THE SAME THING.

PLEASE HELP ME. I CAN'T SPELL!

Karen,

You're doing OK here (except for your rude all caps - please correct that in
future posts).

How many words are you intentionally misspelling? Did you check your dictionary
(Tools - Options - Spelling & Grammar - Custom Dictionaries) to see if those
words are in the dictionary?

Cheers,
Chuck

First, I would like to point out that your post is off-topic. XP does
not contain a spell checking function. You should post this in a
group with WORD or OFFICE in the title.

Second, pry the caps lock key off your keyboard and beat it into a
find dust with a hammer. Shouting won't help your cause. After you
do that, try reposting in an appropriate group in a civilized manner.

Greetings --

By default, most spell checkers ignore words typed in all
uppercase letters; acronyms are assumed. Try typing something without
the CapsLock key engaged, and see if you can spell check that.
