Outlook Express Spell Check Wrong Language

When spell check runs on my outlook express it is in French. Cool but i don't
speak French.
I have checked all the language settings in Outlook and Enterprise 2007 but
can't seem to reset it to English. Office is set to English as is Outlook
Express.

Thank you,

Ray

Outlook Express does not come with its own spell checker. It used the one
installed with Office. Unfortunately, Microsoft decided to remove this feature
starting with Office 2007. Take a look at these articles for more info;

After installing Office 2007 RTM, you don’t have English as a choice of language
in the spell checker of Outlook Express and potentially other programs.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook
Express 6.0 after you install the 2007
Microsoft Office system
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

If you upgraded from Office 2003 and still have the installation media for that
version the easiest solution to
this problem is to install the Office 2003 Proofing tools. That's how I got
around this issue. You will need to perform a custom installation. The Proofing
Tools can be found under Office Shared Features.

If you don't have an Office 2003 installation CD, here are a few free spell
checkers that you may find helpful.

Spell Checker for OE 2.1

If you're looking for more options or information, you might want to post this
question to the Outlook express
newsgroup.

Good luck

Outhouse Distress is no longer supported by Microsoft. It has no junk
filter and depends on other programs for spell checking. Do yourself a
favor and download and install Thunderbird that has its own spell check
and an excellent junk filter. You can also use an add on to have a
calender. When you install Thunderbird, you will be asked if you want to
import everything from OE. To back up Thunderbird, all you have to do is
copy the files in Thunderbird's folder and you will have backed up
*everything* including rules, accounts and, of course, mail. To restore,
you delete the same files in the new install and replace them with the
back ups. Couldn't be simpler. Get it at http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird.

"Thunderbird" is not a genuine Microsoft product and may void your warranty.

And your proof of this ridiculous assertion is?

Copy the XP EULA into Babblefish. Translate the EULA into French. Take the
French translation and translate that back into English.

Tell me what you see.

Why ask HERE? DO you see OE in this group's title? NO.
