sp2.dll?????

We recently upgraded from Office XP to 2003. We applied the SP2 upgrade to
the new version of Office. The day after this we started getting fatal
program errors in another of our apps. I've compied the description of the
Application error below. I've searched for info on sp2.dll but cannot find
any info on its purpose or how it might relate to this other, seemingly
unrelated app. Anyway, anyone with simliar problems or info on sp2.dll would
be appreciated.

"Faulting application bmp0000p0.exe (which is the executable for the app
having issues), version 0.0.0.0, faulting module sp2.dll, version 4.1.103.0,
fault address 0x00063d9a."

I'm not sure if sp2.dll is in reference to Windows XP SP2 or Office 2003 SP2
so I'm posting here as well as the Office Forum

Thanks,
Bill

Try right clicking on SP2.DLL and get the properties. XP should give youthe
Internal Name, Version and a host of other pieces of information. Once you
are armed with this information, Google the Universe and you should get
quite a few hits about the DLL. If that fails, try Googling the "Internal
Name".

I've developed many apps over the centuries and this tool:
http://www.dependencywalker.com/ has been invaluable in troubleshooting
damaging/hanging (or just generally misbeaving) DLLs. It will also give you
more information about the particular DLL (and it's dependancies) than you
probably want, but it should help.

Let me know if I can be of more assistance.

I've searched for the file sp2.dll on the trouble systems and on other
unaffected systems and cannot seem to locate it. I've also searched Google
and other resources trying to find any info on this DLL but no luck on
anything helpful. I'll continue to search but if you're familiar at all with
the file or its purpose, any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill
