SP2 corrupted cable modem settings

Has anyone had this problem? Loaded Service Pack 2 and
all of my cable modem settings disappeared and am now
using dialup. Have Adelphia Highspeed internet sevice and
they blamed this on Microsoft and refused to help me get
reconnected!

Have you tried reinstalling the cable modem, Chip?

Is the machine in question a laptop?

NB: The cable modem's drivers may not be SP2-compatible. Check the website
of its manufacturer for the latest updates.
